
TAMAA - WEST AFRICAN REFUGEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
An extension of the Trauma Services Department, Tamaa is a community and school-based program designed to meet the emotional / behavioral health and social service needs of West African refugee children and their caregivers who have relocated to Southwest Philadelphia. The program serves those who have witnessed and experienced war-related trauma in their homelands and in refugee camps and who are in the process of acculturating to their new communities.
