Ileana Helwig, MA:
Ileana Helwig is the Chief Operating Officer for the Community and School Based Division. Ileana is originally from Puerto Rico and came to the United States to attend college, receiving her undergraduate degree from Temple University and her Masters in Human Services-Psychology from La Salle University. She has worked in behavioral health services since the early 90's serving as the Director of Targeted Case Management at another child serving agency. In the late 90's, she came to CcTC where she joined the agency's management team and built the Behavioral Health rehabilitation Services (BHRS) department. She has since led the creation of CcTC's Targeted Case Management, Family Based, Summer Therapeutic Enrichment Program (summer camp) and all of CcTC's School Based Services programs.
Ileana's early career was defined by her work as bilingual case manager in North Philadelphia, which has given character to her role as an advocate to the people she serves. She has represented CcTC in the children's services community through participation with the Philadelphia Alliance and Coalition children's domains. Ileana has also been part of the Mayor's Blue Ribbon Commission's Vulnerable Children Committee and various Children's Behavioral Health System committees. Ileana has become a leader in the areas of administration, program design and program evaluation.
